How Bonding Works Across Different Cities
Where an Arrest Might Land, Countywide
Tarrant County’s Detention Bureau operates several facilities, but the majority of arrestees countywide are processed through the Tarrant County Corrections Center at 100 N. Lamar St, Fort Worth, TX 76196. Depending on the charge and classification, an inmate may later be moved to one of the county’s other units, including the Lon Evans Correction Center, the Green Bay Unit, the Belknap Unit, or the Cold Springs Unit. Many suburban cities also run their own short-term city jails (Arlington, Keller, Hurst, and others) before transferring longer-hold arrestees to the county system — our agents track wherever your loved one has landed.
Countywide felony and misdemeanor cases are handled at the Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center, 401 W. Belknap St, Fort Worth, TX 76102, which houses the county’s Criminal District Courts and County Criminal Courts. Each suburban city also runs its own municipal court for local ordinance and Class C citations — from the Arlington Municipal Court to the Colleyville/Keller Municipal Court — so where your case is actually heard depends on both the city where the arrest occurred and the severity of the charge.
